Meet Sean Aukanaii Fong, President

Sean Aukanaii Fong is the president and founder of Hawaiian Turfgrass. Sean has a passion for preserving and sustaining the unique heritage of the Hawaiian landscape. He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Tropical Plant and Soil Science, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hawaiian Studies, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The combination of these two degrees helps Sean to serve his customers and the islands they call home.

Sean is a member of Landscape Industry Council of Hawaii (LICH), earning a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) in Turf Maintenance. He is also is a member of the Hawaii Golf Course Superintendents Association (HGCSA) and a member of Turf Producers International (TPI).

Sean grew up here in Hawaii. He lives on O’ahu with his wife, Joy, and their son, Noah.
